It's always your choice! I can follow your family around on a fun day, taking candid shots - or we can be silly and have a fun-for-kids portrait experience. The most important thing, for me, is that those smiles are genuine! Some kids would rather do their own thing, while others love interacting with the camera; every child is unique and I am always happy to work with his/her preference.
